I started the 'Epic Bike Tour' with a ride to London. Not the easiest option in December with the freezing temperatures, rain, wind, hail and cycling through flooded roads - and detouring!
Four days and my symbolic start is complete - 210 miles on the bike plus 30 miles on the train.

Derby. Decided to catch the train to escape the rain!
Day 3 & 4 Oakham to Cambridge & Cambridge to Essex
Oakham to Cambridge and then onto Essex. Dryer, thank goodness. Google Maps kept me off the main roads and on the National Cycle Network roads. Very quite & scenic with pisturesque villages making this a great ride. Cambridge Youth Hostel was another fab overnight stop.
